I can't print my material correctly
Make sure you're using an up-to-date PDF reader, such as Adobe Acrobat DC Reader or Foxit Reader. Both are available for free and you shouldn't have any problems printing the material.
Please try the following, if parts of your printout are different from what you see on the screen: The mentioned PDF readers have the print setting “Print as Image” or “Print as Photo”. With this setting, your printout will be identical to what you see on your screen. In Adobe Acrobat Reader, this is hidden in the "advanced print settings".
Password prompt appears when printing
Some authors protect to their materials so that, for example, illustrations cannot be extracted from the documents and reused. In some PDF readers, this protection causes a password prompt to appear when you try to print the material. However, this problem does not usually occur with the Adobe or Foxit readers.
However, we have noticed that PDF readers installed on school printers sometimes have problems with passwords. As soon as you go to the printer with the material on a USB stick, a password is required.
Unfortunately, the only workaround is to connect a laptop or computer to the school printer, open the file in the PDF reader and select the school printer when printing. Please make sure that you are using an up-to-date PDF reader on that PC/laptop, such as Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader. Both are free and should not require a password.
